DJ Buck is a writer, former TV & Radio guy and media specialist, with a keen interest in retro gaming and virtual reality. His writing has appeared on various RPG, technology, film, video game and tabletop websites across the internet, including Nerdvana and EN World. He holds a BS degree in Mass Communication and after a brief stint in journalism, he moved into the wonderful world of freelancing. As a long-time Dungeons & Dragons player, he built up a specialty in writing about RPG's and his background with DOS and early Nintendo console gaming inspires his retro gaming work. A gamer since 1987, Buck has always enjoyed the more obscure titles, the weirder, the better. He loves the hardware as much as the software--especially audio--and tries to play a healthy mix of modern and retro titles, obsessively analyzing each detail of the game. Working tirelessly to provide the best and latest in gaming news, he still takes the time to enjoy his favorite part of gaming journalism: the research (actually playing the games). In his down time, he can be found playing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine on Steam.
