God of War (2018) Will Not Be Available for PC

Bad news for PC gamers...

Sony's upcoming God of War, currently being developed by Santa Monica Studio will not be playable on PC. So far, Sony has announced the game only for the PS4 and it looks like things will remain the same as the old God of War games. All of the older God of War games were made exclusively for the PlayStation.

PC gamers would be thrilled to see a new God of War title available for PC but it looks like Sony has plans to keep the franchise a PS4 exclusive. The company has a history of making its top games exclusively for the PS4 to encourage sales for the PlayStation.

Some of Sony Interactive's PS4 exclusive games include:

The God of War series
Until Dawn
The Last of Us

The newest God of War title is the eighth game in the franchise and is scheduled for release in Q1 of 2018. Players will play as an aged Kratos, who is a Spartan and demigod son of Zeus. In this new game, Kratos has a son and acts as his mentor and protector.

Cory Barlog, creative director of Sony's Santa Monica Studio said in an interview "You really gotta shake it up. The idea of this being the eighth game in the franchise and having people kind of surprised by it... I've never really seen that in a lot of situations.".

Let's hope that Sony will make this title available for PC sometime in the future.
