10. Persona 5 Tactica (2023)

Officially scheduled for release on November 17th of this year, “Persona 5 Tactica” is an RPG spin-off based on the sixth installment in the Persona franchise by Atlus. The spin-off also strays away from its original art style as it leans towards being chibi-esque and having adorable character designs.

Players can test their strategic skills in this tactical, turn-based game. For each level, up to three characters in the players’ party would fight the Legionnaires’ armed forces. The squad can also trigger a special move called the ‘Triple Threat’ when all of the members are surrounding the enemy.

9. Sword Art Online Last Recollection (2023)

“Sword Art Online Last Recollection” is an action-adventure game developed by Bandai Namco, to be released on October 6th. Dorothy, the Dark Knight, seeks the assistance of Kirito and his allies in Dark Territory. It is an original storyline in which the characters from the original series do not die tragically in The War of the Underworld.

Players can enjoy high-speed battles by utilizing various combinations of myriad weapon types, including the Hand Sword, Dual-Wield, Rapier, Bow, Dagger, Katana, and Scythe. In addition, the game features a customization option, allowing players to modify the appearance of the protagonist, Kirito, and equip various weapon skins.

8. Bleach: Soul Resonance (2024)

Channel the inner skills of controlling Zanpakuto and play as Ichigo Kurosaki in “Bleach: Soul Resonance,” which offers an original story. This 3D-action role-playing game is currently being developed by Nuverse and is reported to be released by the year 2024. It is focused on sword-fighting combat, and players can level up their experience by finding unique Zanpakutos like Zangetsu, Sodenoshirayuki, and Kyokasuigetsu.

7. My Hero Ultra Rumble (2023)

The popular anime series “My Hero Academia” has its own team-based battle royale Bandai Namco video game adaptation titled “My Hero Ultra Rumble”, which is expected to be out around the fall of 2023. Select from the roster of available heroes or villain characters and assemble a formidable team of three to be the final survivors in a 24-player battle royale. 

Other than the goal of defeating other teams, players can find items and interact with civilians that can enhance the quirks of their characters. Strategize wisely and choose from the five archetypes in the game: Strike, Assault, Rapid, Technical, and Support.

6. Fate/Samurai Remnant (2023)

Koei Tecmo plans to release the action RPG “Fate/Samurai Remnant”, on September 29, 2023. The game is set in Japan’s mid-17th century, during the Keian Era of the Edo Period, where the battle for the Holy Grail, known as the ‘Waxing Moon Ritual’, disrupts the peace of the city. Seven pairs of Masters and Servants will engage in combat to obtain the item that can grant their most desired wishes. Players will experience the story through the eyes of Miyamoto Iori as he meets other masters and rogue servants while he explores the city of Edo along with his Saber servant.

5. Solo Leveling: Arise (2023)

Netmarble has developed a fast-paced action RPG titled “Solo Leveling: Arise”, which is based on a well-known webtoon and is scheduled to be available in the second half of 2023. Players will follow the story of Sung Jinwoo (a special hunter who unlocked the unique ability to level up without any restraint) in hunting monsters, collaborating with other powerful hunters, and completing quests in various dungeon gates. The game also provides the opportunity for fans to form their own Army of the Shadows, mirroring the original material.

4. One Punch Man: World (2023)

Crunchyroll Games and Perfect World Games have announced the development of a video game counterpart to the anime series “One Punch Man”. This free-to-play multiplayer online action game centers on the events of the anime's first season, where monsters plague Z-City. Players will join the Hero Association hub, where they will undertake quests and participate in various raids to defeat monsters alongside other players.

3. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin (2024)

Step into the universe of “The Seven Deadly Sins” series and indulge in the beauty of its upcoming open-world video game by Netmarble, featuring an interesting original multiverse story. The game serves as a sequel to “The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross” and is expected to be released in 2024. Choose from a wide array of characters from the series and embark on a journey in Britannia, where players can traverse the skies or swim in the sea, defeat monsters, and solve puzzles.

2. Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash (2024)

Bandai Namco shares information about the upcoming first console video game based on the “Jujutsu Kaisen” series. It is a two-versus-two action game that will feature over fifteen playable characters from the original series, such as Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, Gojo, Sukuna, Maki, Toge, Panda, and more. Players will harness their “cursed technique” in order to gain the upper hand in battles.

1. SPYxANYA: Operation Memories (2024)

Another well-known anime series making its debut as a video game under Bandai Namco is “Spy X Family”. “SPYxANYA: Operation Memories” is a heartwarming daily life simulation game where players take control of Anya and assist her in completing a photo diary for her homework. Anya’s world in this game is not restricted to her academic life; she can also bond with her family, go on outings, and play a variety of amusing mini-games.
