How close or far away targets appear in Apex Legends can affect how you play the game. Adjust the Field of View in the Video section of the Settings menu; adjusting the bar can be helpful, with certain FOV settings assisting different play styles.

Helps with: dealing with targets at long range
- This FOV setting will favor those who prefer to engage at range with sniper rifles.
- The extreme tunnel-vision focus that comes from this setting will assist in winning firefights at a distance.
- However, because of a more limited close-up view, gameplay can feel slower.
Why FOV 70 can be beneficial:
- FOV 70 will make targets appear close, while limiting your peripheral vision
- This makes tracking enemies at a distance easier than other settings
- Accuracy in ranged combat will become easier

Helps with: establishing a more natural point-of-view
- With expanded peripheral vision compared to FOV 90, this setting makes targets seem a little closer and allow you to see more directly in front of you.
- This makes gameplay seem faster, and strikes a balance between long and short-range gameplay.
Why FOV 90 can be beneficial:
- Targets seem closer, allowing you to be effective in close-range combat
- Quicker-seeming gameplay
- Targets are not too small to make long-range firefights unwinnable

- This setting gives the widest possible view spectrum, allowing you to see more targets on your left and right.
- Enemies will seem smaller with this setting, and gameplay will feel more fast-paced.
- However, due to the reduced size of the targets, long-range combat will require pinpoint accuracy at range.
Why FOV 110 can be beneficial:
- Easily see everything in your peripheral vision
- Play a fast-paced, aggressive game
- Close-range combat becomes easier
