Geoff Matson was inspired to creative writing at a young age by the book "The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales."

Since then he has honed his craft writing short stories and adapting them into personalized character backgrounds for his DND players.

Having played video games for nearly 30 of his 36 years he has a deep understanding of what makes a game good and is expertly placed to write meaningful reviews.

Geoff got his first taste of RPG's when he played Dragon Warrior 1 on Nintendo.
"What is this?" he thought to himself confusedly.
"There is no double dragon style fighting, no bubble bobble style action-packed platforming, why is there so much reading!?".
But he persevered and learned how to grind slimes until he saved up enough to buy his first bronze sword.
By the time he rescued the princess from the green dragon, it was all over. The high fantasy part of his brain had been activated and Final Fantasy 6 was about to be released on Super Nintendo.

He is so pleased that the video game industry has had so much success that he can make a living writing about games and game culture, but mostly that he gets to prove his mom wrong.
