João entered this world in the vibrant country of Brazil and cut his teeth in sunny Florida. He brings a lifetime of interesting stories with his passion for Science Fiction and love of Fantasy into everything he creates. Since he was old enough to hold a controller, he’s had a fervent passion for storytelling and connecting with others through gaming. Narrative-driven RPGs filled with dynamic characters and dramatic action such as the Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Dragon Age franchises are what drew him in and kept him there. His deep love for stories and the people who tell them started him on an endless journey across genres and mediums, eventually leading to Florida State University. His commitment to the craft resulted in a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing, from a University known as one of the top writing programs in the country. Drawing on inspiration from writers, directors, animators, artists, and musicians to refine his writing style- which he describes as “trying to blur the line between reading and experiencing”- his dream is to write and direct a video game of his own. João Victor is currently based in South Florida, where he lives with his family. When not writing under his pen name, NUMBER TH1RTE3N, he can be found captivated by narratives in other mediums and reading as many lore books in a game that he can find.
