Kate is a lifelong gamer, writer and language enthusiast who recently returned to the US after completing a several year work-abroad experience in Japan. During her time there, she cultivated her passion of "game tourism," visiting locations which inspired a wide variety of popular Japanese games. She published guides in both English and Japanese to help people plan the perfect "gamer vacation" of their own!

Now, Kate works as a full-time writer and part-time Japanese translator for games and supplementary gaming materials. She is a published author of work covering topics ranging from game history to the localization industry to convention culture around the world. When she isn't writing, Kate can be found practicing her Japanese, working on her latest cosplay, attending and assisting with Japanese interpretation at conventions and gaming events across the United States, and leveling up her team in Fate/grand order.
