Jimenez
Here's what you need to know about Daniel Jimenez. I'm an English major who specialized in narrative and creative writing, and have been an avid gamer since before I could walk. I've written for multiple sites including The Plantain and Screengeek, at least when I'm not losing dozens of hours in an RPG. I truly love an RPG, or any game for that matter, that allows you to lose yourself in carefully crafted world. I'll never forget the first time I played Fallout, seeing all the potential that the wasteland had laid out before me. What fascinates me about gaming is the potential is has to tell new stories in brilliant ways. Not just for telling memorable stories like in The Last of us or Chrono Trigger. But Games like Spec ops: The Line have shown that you can do something different with narrative using the main aspect of a video game; the fact that you're playing it. The player drives the plot in such a way that it actually enhances the point the story is making. Stories have always helped shape us, and my passion is seeing how video games now shape the world of storytelling.
