Magic Specializes in bringing an academic, yet easy to understand, twist to journalism. They enjoy doing research for articles and sharing information that people may not of known about the world around them. In particular, they specialize in writing about how certain games or companies affect those around them or about the general opinion of a certain game.
Magic is currently taking a year off from their masters degree in Museum and Exhibition Studies. Prior they have recieved two Bachelors degrees, one in history and one in psychology, from Baker University. Being a historian, they have been through the rigors of how to write clearly and succinctly. They also hold an interest in gaming history and how it's affected and even shaped the culture we know today.
Much of their experience comes from writing scripts for the news program for Baker Universities radio and helping research for a co-workers two hour show on gaming news. They also sport experience writing short stories that have been featured in a state anthology as well as in Baker University's student publication, The Water Shed.
While much of their work has focused around local and national news, Magic also has a pretty strong grasp on the news around RPGs. More specifically, fantasy and sci-fi RPGs. They keep up with the large and smaller companies, always looking for something new and fun to play and write about. Magic easily can write about the fantasy locations of many games due to their experience in their own gaming as well; having played major titles like Dragon Age Origins, Dishonored, and Undertale. While the list of major titles they've played are some of their favourites, they'll always have a special place in their heart for Knights of the Old Republic. It was the first PC game they ever had and it started the whole adventure.
Magic's been a gamer for nearly 11 years now, first playing on friends old Play Stations and XBOX360s, then getting their very own Nintendo DS, and finally a few years later downloading their first PC game on their brand new laptop. Through out their entire adventure with gaming they've always enjoyed writing what they liked about games, what they didn't like, and what they thought of the companies. Their favourite thing about writing is the opportunity they get to describe the games. They believe there's nothing like turning the beauties of game play into words that can capture peoples imaginations.
