Sims 4 was released for PC back in 2014, but now it’s hitting the small screen and going live on consoles including Xbox 1, Playstation 4.
Apparently EA decided that 5 million copies sold on PC just isn’t enough and has officially released plans to send the Sims to consoles this 14th November 2017.
All of this happening amidst rumors of Sims 5 coming out sometime within the next couple of years despite the only trailers being fan made or comedic takes on the next Sims game, I think it’s safe to say that the console release of Sims 4 is another sign that Sims 5 won’t be out for quite some time. It’s been 3 years since the Sims 4 released for PC, and despite the fact that EA has released a new Sims game every four and a half years or so there hasn’t been any official news declaring a fifth sequel to the Sim series.
According to sims5game.com, EA declared that the possibility of a fifth game will depend on how well the 4th one sells. It looks like the console release is one last ditch effort to hype the game up for Sims fans everywhere.
Having received lackluster user reviews so far, Metacritic shows The Sims 4 has a negative user rating, with users rating the game 4/10 based on 2,085 ratings.
