Are You in a Gaming Rut?

Check out this list of our top 10 most awesome pc games that you should play this year. Sometimes we get bored with what we’ve got and we look for something new, hopefully this list can help you find your next gaming addiction.

10. Overwatch

Looks like a Jedi with guns!

Years have passed since the heroic peace keepers were disbanded. People didn’t think they needed them anymore since the threat of the Omnic (Artificial Intelligence) has long passed. Now trouble is brewing again and the time for heroes is returning.

Many heads have turned since Blizzard announced their first ever FPS game. It looks to be an awesome blend between the moba and fps genre. Just imagine your favorite League of Legends champion running around an FPS arena. It is going to be awesome! You need to play this game because Blizzard doesn’t produce low quality stuff.

9. Metal Gear Solid 5

Usually binoculars have two eye holes...

Big Boss has awakened after a 9 year coma. He has put together a new group of mercenaries called the Diamond Dogs, and he has led them into Afghanistan in order to find the group responsible for destroying the Militaries Sans Frontieres.

If you’re a fan of the Metal Gear Solid series, then you have to check out this game. The game will have multiplayer features and be set in a huge open world. You also get to manage your own mercenaries which is a fun new feature to the game. My favorite is the young wolf pup with one eye. You need to play this game to finish the story, you can’t stop now.

8. Batman: Arkham Knight

Batman is such an awesome superhero simply because he is a normal person that has managed to do extraordinary things

Do you really need someone to tell you why you need to play this game? You get to be Batman, that’s why! In this third installment of the series you get to hunt down Scarecrow and deliver sweet justice in the form of a punch to the face.

You’re going to get to play around with a ton of new gadgets as well which will make this game awesome. You can use Batman’s grapnel gun, batarangs, and cape for gliding around the city. Play it, it will be awesome!

7. The Witcher 3

Hmm, my money is on the big moose thing

The Witcher 3 deserves its spot on this list of good pc games. It is an open world game in which you take control of a Witcher. The Witchers are a special group of monster hunters that have been trained, and even mutated from an early age to be superhuman.

The Northern Kingdoms are threatened by an otherworldly army known as the Wild Hunt, and it is up to you to stop it and bring peace and safety back to the world. There are so many reasons why this is an awesome game and why you need to play it. Not only is the world huge and open, but your decisions shape the outcome of the story. There is a morality system that remembers the choices that you make, so don’t make dialogue decisions quickly! Also, you get to play as a steroid packed Witcher, and that is just cool.

6. Dead Island 2

California is a dream vacation no longer!

Pick up loot and bash out zombie brains with it. That is the essence of what Dead Island is. In this sequel you are stuck in the infested state of California. There are still many details yet to be announced, but the game will probably maintain many of the mechanics and storytelling techniques of its predecessor.

You totally need to play this game because you can treat your zombie apocalypse experience as a vacation. Visit the sunny beaches of California, go to Hollywood, or drink a refreshing drink out of a coconut. Just don’t get bitten! Among good PC games, this one will be a hit!

5. Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate

Absolutely stunning!

The only thing we know about this game is that it will take place in Victorian London, but you can almost guess the rest. You will probably play as an assassin who lost a family member or two to some douchebag Templar. Now you have a vendetta against their entire order and want them all dead, but you have to follow the assassin's code! That is very important. Conveniently though, the Templars will probably be dabbling around with some important artifacts that you need, so you can kill them anyway.

You need to play this game because you’ve played all the other Assassin games and you know how great they are. This one comes with several improvements like combat on top of moving vehicles and a grappling hook.

4. Heroes of the Storm

Which hero will you choose?

Blizzard's new moba is Heroes of the Storm. All the most famous Blizzard characters are being transported into a trans-dimensional universe where they have to kill each other over and over… and we’re not sure why. However, it is still awesome! The game is leaving behind the traditional moba structure for more a more objective based game. Don’t focus so much on farming and on pushing your lanes, the objectives like the pirate ship is what you’ve got to get to win.

You need this game because you can play as Diablo versus the Lich King, enough said.

3. Dying Light

Who needs parkour when you can just kill all the zombies instead?

You get to parkour your way around the fictional city of Harran in this epic giant among awesome PC games. Zombies are everywhere, so you better travel quietly and out of sight. You should know though that the zombies can climb too, so don’t let them know where you are!

You need to play this game because it is the first time ever that parkour mechanics like this have been implemented in such a large scaled open world game. There is no other game that gives you the same feeling of freedom.

2. Mass Effect 3

It all comes down to this!

Mass Effect 3 is the riveting finale to the saga of Commander Shepard. If you liked Dragon Age then you'll love this! The third game of this installment picks up as Shepard, the first human spectre of the universe, is hot on the heels of Saren who is bent on summoning a bunch of genocidal freak aliens to destroy all life. The game received many improvements including a more precise combat system, a refined cover mechanic that worked better than the first two games (getting shot through a wall was lame), and a multiplayer coop mode.

The absolute best feature of the game is the morality system. Based on your choices you either get renegade or paragon points that unlocks further dialogue options. You can really feel the effect of your choices in the game. If you didn't know, and here is a spoiler alert by the way, you've been hunting Saren for so long that you might be expecting a grand showdown. If you've played your cards right though, you might be able to convince him to just kill himself instead. That is the power of speech my friends.

Anyway, this game was awesome and had such a controversial ending (Shepard dies, oops!) That Bioware released a patch with alternate endings based on your decisions in the game. Now you can keep him alive and get your "happy ending" if you want.

1. Star Wars Battlefront

It's been 10 years! It's about time

The Battlefront series is something many of us grew up playing. We loved it and have been waiting almost 10 years for the release of the third game in the franchise. Of course we won’t know until the actual release of the game if it will live up to the hype or not, but it is looking to be fantastic!

A lot of the beloved content of the previous games are making comebacks, good examples are the updated maps of Hoth and Endor. We’ll also be able to partake of vehicular combat which is something new and exciting. You need to play this game because it is the only game in existence where you get to duke it out with your friends in free flowing Star Wars combat, and you get to play as Darth Vader, that too.
