The Detail follows the investigation of brutal crimes, set in a modern American city. The first episode follows two police officers as they seek to take down a child molester. The game is intended to be played by a mature audience as it contains issues regarding drugs, murder and sexual violence.

The gameplay is inspired from the TellTale Games’ Walking Dead series, as it puts players in difficult situations to make choices. There are no right or wrong choices, but it depends on the moral stand of the player.
