A farmer, craving adventure much like his own lost parents, has set out to become a hero. Just then, an evil creature of great power, the Shadowjumper has stolen the Staff of Stars. The player must journey across the icy hills of Arhok and into the lost Utraean Island that is covered in jungles, caves and cities. There, the hero must battle deadly enemies standing between him and the Staff of Stars.

In this expansion to Dungeon Siege, players take on the role of a new hero on an all-new adventure, across beautifully realised locations never before seen in the Dungeon Siege universe, meeting unique races and enemies, all in a heroic quest to save all of Aranna.
