3. Life is Feudal MMO

Life is Feudal:MMO PvP outdoor against Flatin Kings

If you’ve ever wondered what it would really be like to live in the Middle Ages, play Life is Feudal. This is survival MMO where you start with nothing, as nobody, and must build your skills by doing. You can start towns and farms, or even kingdoms. Just be sure to level some combat skills so other players don’t decide to raid you. Craft armor and weapons to help you survive in the wild or to, well, do the aforementioned raiding of others… your choice… not judging.

2. Skyrim (with Credo Mod)

Medieval Skyrim Overhaul by The Credo Team

Everyone and their mother, well at least my mother, have played Skyrim. You’ve fought dragons and become a werewolf and slain vampires and... too many ands. You get my point. The Credo Mod takes your favorite Skyrim experience into the Dark Ages. This mod changes the look of all the guards in the game to provide a more immersive experience. The details of the layering of the armor are just magnificent and really something you should check out.

Now this looks like a footman from medieval times… may be a tad cold though.

A real soldier knows no fear.

1. Mordhau

MORDHAU 26 Minutes of EPIC Gameplay (New Medieval Game 2017)

The hell that is warfare is the only way I can think to describe combat in Mordhau. This is a visceral game of shining knights and sharp swords. The shining armor doesn’t last, however, as combat stains it with the blood from dismembered enemies. There are some RPG-style elements; customize your character, weapons, and armor. Then choose a specialization to play as. Remember that nothing in this game is purely for show. The fluidity of the combat system is only matched by how easily you can die if you make a wrong move.

Peter forgot his helmet and that’s why he’ll never get ahead in life…

Metal meets metal in Mordhau's combat.
