Depending on your weapon of choice or targets, choosing your scope can help or hinder you. So what’s the best for you? Fear not, our soon to be accurate shooter, we list of the top 5 scopes available in Far Cry 5. (Side note: This author does find it funny that the zoom on the camera is seemingly better than all of these scopes combined…hopefully we see a “camera” scope update in Far Cry 5…..)

5. Reflex Sight (Best for Handguns and Revolvers)
The Reflex Sight with 125% zoom.
We would be remiss if we didn’t add a short range scope here. Sometimes, you’re not sniping, but close contact accurate shots can make a big difference…this scope does just that.
Why Reflex Sight is Great:
- Adds accuracy for close range enemies
- Point reflex is easier to use when moving your viewpoint
- Relatively cheap scope choice especially for handguns and close range rifles

4. Tactical (Best for Beginner Rifles)
The Tactical Sight with 225% zoom.
Like any good soldier, at some point we have to get a bit tactical. A step up from handguns, this sight will help you deal with larger enemies with ease.
Why Tactical is Great:
- Adds accuracy for close-mid range enemies to easily take down outposts
- Crosshairs make aiming easier and moving between targets less confusing
- Relatively cheap for scope with crosshairs choice

3. Enhanced Ranger (Best for SMG and AKs)
The Enhance Ranger Sight with 265% zoom and above with with 200% aim ability.
.The name says it all: with this scope, you’ll be a ranger like no other, an enhanced one at that….

The Marksman ADV-X scope with 375% zoom and above with with 265% aim ability.
A Marksman scope for a marksman…it doesn’t get much better than this. Keep in mind, the closer you advance your zoom, the more sway you’ll find your view. Stay steady and find your target fast, especially if you’re around some blissed out peggies!

1. Long Range (Best for Sniper)
The Long Range scope with 475% zoom and above with with 315% aim ability.
If you’ve ever wanted to shoot a fly off of a bison’s face from as far as physically possible, this is the scope for you. Beware the pros of closeness of zoom, you’ll need to hold that breath really tight to get the best effects with this scope.
Why Long Range is Great:
- Adds the most accuracy for distant range enemies, making any hunting our difficult outpost mission much easier
- Crosshairs make aiming easier, but avoid issues with sway by using the hold breath function
- Zoom adds even additional accuracy and range abilities
