[Top 10] Destiny 2 Best Witch Queen Weapons

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen was a monumental DLC, perhaps the best in Destiny history. It marked the beginning of 3.0 Subclasses, incredible new raids, and a new upward trend for story content.

Of course, the usual assortment of juicy weapons were also released with the expansion, and this DLC had some bangers. From the odd-looking VotD weapons to the science-y looking Throne World guns, the Witch Queen was a significant addition to the Guardian’s firepower.

10. Edge of Intent

This exotic Glaive has the odd property of making “healing turrets” that shoot out Noble Rounds similar to Lumina to heal you and your allies. Truth be told, even after the recent-ish buffs to the exotic glaives, they’re not quite worth your time. Edge of Intent is definitely fun and janky, but doesn’t have a place in the PvP or PvE meta.

- Provides a good level of survivability to solo players

- The exotic perk is very easy to proc, still kinda sucks in PvP though

- Warlocks don’t have to rely on RNG to obtain the pattern for crafting

9. Edge of Action

How to get it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWrJ22K9bYg

Due to this weapon’s synergy with the Helm of Saint-14, Edge of Action just barely outclasses Edge of Intent for support. It’s a weird little thing in its own right, but I don’t see how many other people aren’t using this for their Solo Grandmasters due to its insane survivability factor with Helm of Saint-14. However, there are much better, well-rounded weapons than this one on the market, so it remains at number 9.

- Synergizes with Helm of Saint-14

- Void 3.0 Buildcrafting potential for PvE

- Titans don’t have to rely on RNG to get the pattern

8. Come to Pass

How to get it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UljkCULZxOE

Come to pass is a solid PvE workhorse. It’s especially good for Nightfall modifiers like Match Game, having the undervalued Adaptive Munitions/Genesis roll that you can get for free at the HELM. Dragonfly and Golden Tricorn are also great picks, and besides that, the gun looks and feels really good. I’m personally not a fan of slower-firing Auto Rifles, but I have to hand it to this weapon.

- Free drop available at the HELM (Gift of the Thunder Gods chest)

- Craftable

- With the recent Precision Frame Auto Rifles buff, it’s decent in PvP now

7. Parasite

How to get it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZ4rn-k3kFk

Parasite is weird, but good. Initially, when I saw that there was a grenade launcher that shot Hive Worms coming out in WQ, it seemed kinda…I don’t know, kinda lame. But Parasite is still decent for a multitude of purposes, including buffing the damage of your other weapons. Wait, what? Huh. Just try not to think about it too hard (and ignore the Gjallarhorn sitting in your Vault).

- The quest has a high fun factor

- High single-projectile damage

- Buffs other weapon DPS

6. Submission

How to get it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-879anZdB4c

Oddly enough, I don’t find myself using Kinetic primaries for PvE much anymore. When I used to, however, my Frenzy/Explosive Payload Fatebringer and my Overflow/Frenzy Submission were top picks for me. (I just checked my vault to make sure I had it) Submission is undoubtedly better for PvE, but I still think Fatebringer is better. Nothing stops it from being fun, however.

- Insane reload/ammo size with Overflow/Frenzy

- 900 RPM Lightweight, strong archetype

- Excels in PvE, falls behind in PvP

5. Insidious

How to get it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3Tzx6JK6MU

I infamously pursued this pattern like a simp back in the day, only to get laid off by the horrors that were leveling a crafted weapon. (Bungie, if you’re listening: make all crafted weapons have access to all non-enhanced perks as soon as you craft them). 4-burst Pulses aren’t exactly meta in PvP, but that Demolitionist/Adrenaline Junkie isn’t bad for PvE buildcrafting. It’s similar in utility to Come to Pass, but the origin trait is better and the gun has an adept version.

- Adept version available

- Craftable

- Rare 4-burst Aggressive archetype, odd but good in both PvE and PvP if you get the right rolls

4. Fel Taradiddle

How to get it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk0ZNPjjHpQ

Many people know this as the weird-looking bow that can have a fast draw time, and that’s pretty much what it is. With a correctly crafted Successful Warm-up/Archer’s Temp roll, you’ll get an absurdly fast draw time. It’s easily obtainable and craftable from the Wellspring activity, so getting this roll should be a piece of cake.

- Craftable

- Undervalued but strong archetype, able to two-tap in the Crucible

- Only need two red borders to obtain pattern

3. Forbearance

How to get it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-twLkeiZL68

One of the latest (and quite possibly the greatest) Wave-Frame Grenade Launchers in the land of D2, Forbearance has a few spicy rolls that you should be dying to get your hands on. Ambitious Assassin/Chain Reaction is always the top-pick, with enhanced traits being the best play here.

- Craftable

- Synergizes with AoE mods

- Adept version available

2. Lubrae’s Ruin

How to get it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuttTfCbHhA

First of all, Destiny 2 doesn’t have too many instances where you actually claim a boss’s weapon instead of just getting a random themed gun. Lubrae’s Ruin breaks that stereotype by actually having a history (check the Shattered Suns lorebook) and actually being wielded by the final boss of the Vow of the Disciple raid. Nothing gives people feelings of power than wielding the weapon of a god, I always say.

Truth be told, I haven’t used mine in a while, but Lubrae’s Ruin has some decent perks like Bait and Switch, Vorpal Weapon, and Swashbuckler. Those three perks (although only in one column) can pack a real punch by themselves.

- Authentic weapon wielded by Rhulk, Disciple of the Witness

- Craftable with enhanced traits

- Glaives are a good fit for high-level PvE and PvP, and this weapon has good perks for both

1. Cataclysmic

Cataclysmic drops from the first and second encounters of the Vow of the Disciple raid.

If you wanna talk the best DPS weapon in the game, let me introduce you to an old friend of mine: Cataclysmic. Put simply: if you have a Fourth Time’s the Charm/Bait and Switch roll in your vault, take it out and masterwork it. It is simply the most powerful option as far as kicking raid bosses in the rear, so don’t miss out.

Of course it has craftable and adept versions, but the real glory is how easy it is to obtain a good roll. I still have my Fourth Time’s/Clown Cartridge roll, and that does all right (although my go-to is a Vorpal Stormchaser) and that was literally the first piece of loot I got out of the raid. Check it out when you have time.

- Highest DPS weapon in the game for PvE

- Focused Fury is a good replacement for Bait and Switch, and so is Clown Cartridge

- Easily farmable from first and second encounters of the raid
