Destiny 2 Best New Weapons That Are Powerful

Titans have their fists, Hunters have their knives, Warlocks have that weird, force-smack thing, but all guardians love guns. Guns are at the root of what a looter shooter is: you use guns to kill enemies, you loot guns, and then you use your new guns to obtain even more guns.

Thus the endless cycle is formed. But with every expansion, season, and even some updates, more weapons are added. Here are the top ten best newest weapons you’ll want to get your hands on.

Enter, Guardian. Guardian: What’s this? A 120 Hand Cannon, methinks? Fie on the Forsaken era! Were’t that the 120 HCs of my youth twas viable in the Crucible! Meta be damned, I say! With th’glorious Outlaw/Eye of the Storm, nothing shall stop my might. But what of Opening Shot, Elemental Capacitor, and Perpetual Motion? A fine vintage!

9. Boudica-C

This cute little sidearm is a world drop with great potential in PvE and PvP. With the recent sidearm meta we’ve been looking at, it’s beating out guns like Peacebond and competing with weapons like Drang. With that Stats-for-all/One-for-all combo, victory is assured in Grandmaster content (well, not really, but you get the point).

- Deep perk selection

- Decent for sidearm meta

8. Ammit AR2

Widely regarded as a good all-round, consistent-feeling weapon, the Ammit AR2 is one of the best-feeling weapons to hit the sandbox this season. With a non-nonsense selection of perks and a decent stat range, Ammit excels at dueling and clearing rooms of adds. In addition, it’s craftable and high on Range.

- Incandescent is a good perk for PvE

7. Blood Feud

750 RPM subs have never been too popular in PvP, ignoring for a moment Tarrabah and Shayura’s Wrath. 900 Lightweights like the Multimach have dominated the submachine gun scene for quite a while, which give Blood Feud a chance to shine in PvE. It’s got a lot of great perks like Feeding Frenzy and Headstone, so utilizing them on a crafted model might be a good idea.

6. Tarnished Mettle

150 Scouts just got a sizable nerf in PvP, but they’re still semi-viable there. More realistically, this gun has a place in Grandmaster Nightfalls on Arc Burn week along with Arbalest and Stormchaser. Voltshot is a killer for PvE game modes, and has some perfect buildcrafting potential.

- Craftable and farmable with Seasonal activities

- Tons of range and stopping power

- Energy weapon, pairs better with Arbalest

5. No Reprieve

I gotta be honest: this slug shotgun doesn’t quite beat out Heritage for me, especially since DSC weapons are getting the ability to be crafted next season. That being said, you can’t really get a bad roll on this weapon: even the Headstone/Steady Hands roll you get off the battle pass is pretty decent.

4. The Inquisitor

Essentially, this one’s much the same deal as No Reprieve, but in the Energy slot. It gives you more options when it comes to buildcrafting, and you can stack the range to unrealistic amounts with Fragile Focus or Opening Shot. An all-round decent shotgun is this weapon, and the Inquisitor’s here to ask questions for which you opponents have no answers.

- Adept version available

- Fairly easy farm with Passage of Wealth

- Energy slot Slug Shotgun, but doesn’t quite beat out FILO

3. Yesteryear

One word for you guardian: Desperado. True, it’s only a single perk, but it’s essentially an exotic one from how good it is. 390s have always felt good, and this lowly Gambit drop comes from the line of Smite of Merain and Syncopation. It’s okay in PvE, but having an easily-accessible weapon with Desperado really helps the meta.

2. Brigand’s Law

Having only recently tried out rapid-fire frame Sidearms, I have found Brigand’s Law intoxicating. The Voltshot roll on this weapon clears out rooms of adds like a hot knife through butter, and Feeding Frenzy only synergizes even better with this phenomenal perk.

- Craftable AND farmable

- Pugilist and Swashbuckler for your melee builds

1. Taipan 4-fr
