[Top 15] Best 3rd Person Games for PC

Best 3rd Person Games for PC

11 Dec 2023

It's all a matter of perspective.

Ahhh the third-person, and I don’t mean that weird friend that insists on following you and your significant other everywhere. I mean that oh, so helpful perspective that makes our problems seem small and insignificant. In the third person, things just don’t seem so…..well, personal. Sometimes this is a good thing, especially when done in video games. It gives us a better view of our surroundings, lets us see our main character as a real person other than just a representation of ourselves, and kinda makes us feel like gods sometimes, to be honest. Here are some of the best games that give us that sweet third-person perspective while still making us feel every bit as involved in the story as their first-person counterparts.

15. Heavy Rain

Bringing up the rear is the emotionally gripping, narrative-driven gameplay of Heavy Rain.

Heavy Rain is an excellent third-person interactive drama game that tells the story of a hunt for a serial killer known as the Origami Killer. The game features multiple endings which depend on the decisions you make while in control of four protagonists (Ethan, Scott, Norman, and Madison). These endings can range from being relatively satisfying to downright depressing (it is a game about a serial killer - what did you expect, a musical number?)

The gameplay also includes quick-time events, a grim, tense atmosphere, and realistic characters. Dive into Heavy Rain, the award-winning dramatic masterpiece by developer Quantic Dream which promises to thrill and chill and every turn.

14. Mortal Shell

Persistence is key for entry number 14, Mortal Shell.

Mortal Shell is a Souls-inspired (yay!) third-person action-adventure game that pits you against savage warriors and creatures in a post-apocalyptic world whose inhabitants are a shell of their former selves. You control a player character that exists as a specter that can inhabit the ''shells' of dead warriors. Each warrior shell conforms to various playstyles (knight, rogue, warrior, etc.) and is upgradable as you progress.

In addition to upgradable shells, the weapons you find in-game can also be upgraded and conform to each shell’s specific build (you can be a rogue wielding a war-hammer, but I wouldn’t recommend it). Upon the death of your shell, your shade is ejected and forced to find another available shell to inhabit.

Featuring challenging boss battles and unique gameplay mechanics, Mortal Shell is a great Souls-like game that balances inspiration from the Dark Souls series with some innovation of its own.

13. Yakuza: Like A Dragon

Show 'em who's boss with entry number 13, Yakuza: Like A Dragon.

The Yakuza series is a cult favorite that has captured the hearts and minds of its fans with its silly, yet moving narrative, over-the-top characters, and intense beat-’em-up style combat. Yakuza: Like A Dragon, continues in the same thematic vein yet changes the gameplay to a more turn-based, RPG style. Another major change for all Yakuza fans is the introduction of a new protagonist to the series, Ichiban Kasuga, as he seeks vengeance against the man who betrayed him and his family.

Yakuza’s unique third-person RPG style allows you to assume different classes known as Jobs, each with its perks and drawbacks, to fight rogue members of the Tojo Clan (Ichiban’s yakuza family) and reclaim their honor. A major staple of the eclectic combat that is a part of the Yakuza series is the ability to use street signs, lampposts, bikes, and umbrellas (pretty much anything not nailed down….and some things that are!) to beat down your enemies. Not at all things that I wish I could do in real life! In addition to a dramatic story accompanied by unique side-quests, Yakuza: Like A Dragon is packed with enough content to keep you hooked for weeks.

12. Warframe

Get lost in the futuristic world of Warframe, a titan of the free-to-play shooter genre.

Warframe is a free, third-person shooter MMORPG that takes place on a futuristic Earth where several warring factions jostle for control over the Solar system. You play as a member of the Tenno, an ancient race of sleeping warriors, who awaken from Cryosleep with very little recollection of events from their era.

Gameplay involves your playable character occupying mechanical combat units called Warframes and completing missions with a four-person squad. To this end, there are both story mode missions as well as regularly scheduled missions that rotate from time to time and do not impact the story. In addition, there are PVP modes that pit you against the Solar system’s finest, and several co-operative modes with varying victory conditions (defend a particular point for some time, defeat a certain number of enemies, etc.) which add much variety to the gameplay.

11. Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord

Control massive armies, dictate battlefield tactics and hardly ever bathe in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord.

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is a medieval third-person strategy game where you play as the leader of your very own army and do what armies do best - make war! It’s an interesting blend between a third-person single-player action RPG and a complex military strategy romp that allows you to micromanage your character, your army, and even the cities you conquer (or plan to conquer). You inhabit the fictional continent of Caladria and play as a member of six fictional factions who often mirror the characteristics of real-world former empires such as the Romans, Mongols, Celts, and Rus.

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is a prequel to Mount and Blade: Warband and uses a single-player sandbox campaign with no set missions to complete in any particular order (so just let fly that arrow wildly and see where it lands!). There is also a multiplayer mode that allows you to connect and skirmish with players from all over the world. In addition, there is a great emphasis on customizability; you can tweak the game to serve your own needs thereby setting the field to your advantage. If you’re a fan of third-person RPGs and strategy games, this hybrid is a great choice!

10. Fortnite

Build, shoot, lose to a teenager, and do it all over again in the hit battle royale shooter, Fortnite.

This game needs no introduction so I won’t bother with one. Fortnite has been a pop culture sensation of a game ever since 2018 and has garnered the attention of politicians, celebrities, and us, regular schmegular folks with its cartoonish art style and battle royale gameplay. Fortnite’s gameplay is unique even among the battle royale genre (which it helped popularise) in that it features its famous building and shooting mechanic where characters can build elaborate structures to defend themselves and confound enemies while also blasting them in the face with wacky guns. If you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard of Epic Games’ free online third-person shooter, then go ahead and give it a try today.

9. Detroit: Become Human

Become a real boy in entry number 9, Detroit: Become Human, the popular interactive game by developers Quantic Dream.

Our second interactive game on this list is Detroit: Become Human by developers Quantic Dream (they’re pretty much specialists at this by now).

Detroit: Become Human is a thought-provoking drama that explores the boundaries between humans and machines in a futuristic world. The plot follows three androids who struggle with their sentience and the existential questions that follow as they make their way through a world in which androids are subservient to humans.

Continuing with the same third-person interactive style as Heavy Rain, Detroit: Become Human features quick-time events, dialogue choices and multiple endings depending on said choices. Characters may also die as the story progresses, depending on the decisions you make. These deaths cannot be reversed, once again giving weight to every choice.

Detroit: Become Human Gameplay

8. The Division 2

The Division 2 takes the number 8 spot with its thrilling cover-shooting gameplay and compelling narrative.

This sequel to Massive Entertainment’s massively successful third-person shooter, The Division, hits all the targets of its predecessor and then some with improved loot distribution and side mission quests that keep you occupied for days upon days. The Division 2’s story picks up right after the events of The Division where a new team of Division sleeper agents tries to find a cure for the series’ pandemic (art mirrors reality, huh?), Green Poison while fighting off waves of bandits.

The game follows an open-world format that encourages exploration, along with a Story Mode and three PVP areas known as Dark Zones where you can defeat tough enemies for awesome loot. However, be wary because your loot can be stolen by other players until you’re extracted from the area so, you know, get it insured or something.

7. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Hmmm play one of the best Star Wars games ever made, you must!

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is what happens when you subject Star Wars characters and lore to a Dark Souls universe. This third-person action-adventure game follows the story of a young Jedi padawan as he tries to complete his training while being pursued by a Galactic Empire death squad. Events are set in a post-Hayden Christensen world after the fall of the Jedi Order and feature Imperial stormtroopers, droids, and Force-wielding enemies as well as wild beasts from various planets.

As you progress through the story, you can upgrade aspects of your protagonist, Cal Kestis, such as his abilities, lightsaber, outfits, and ship. The game also features a Souls-inspired game mechanic (“meditation circles”) that allows you to save your progress at the expense of respawning all your enemies. Several puzzle-solving scenarios require you to use the Force by unlocking abilities you can only find through exploration and progression through the game’s main areas. With this fresh new take on Star Wars combat and exploration, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order stands as one of the best third-person games on the market.

6. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is the fan service every DBZ fan had been dreaming of, all wrapped up in a nice bow.

Welcome back to the ongoing saga of one of the world’s most famous deadbeat dads with Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the latest third-person action RPG set in the Dragon Ball universe. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot follows the canon Dragon Ball Z (DBZ) story by taking players through different sagas in the franchise in chronological order. Throughout the game, you do battle against iconic villains such as Freiza, Cell, Majin Buu, and many others as some of our favorite Z-Fighters.

Play as Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, and even Yamcha (just kidding!) as you lovingly recreate some of your favorite battles from the anime series. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot also features RPG elements that allow you to traverse the world when not in battle and engage in activities that often take the form of mini-games (most notably, fishing), and sometimes take the form of extra training (most notably, fisticuffs). As a great homage to the anime series, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot holds up spectacularly and serves up nostalgia and fun on a well-designed plate.

5. Resident Evil 3 (2020)

Resident Evil 3's faithful remake ratchets up the horror at number 5.

Resident Evil 3’s remake is an example of a remake that hits the right notes by breathing new life into a widely-acclaimed classic horror game. Resident Evil 3 revisits the story of Jill Valentine as she tries to escape the zombie-infested Raccoon City and the dogged pursuit of Nemesis, the seemingly indestructible intelligent bioweapon developed by series’ antagonists, the Umbrella Corporation.

Resident Evil 3 features a third-person, over-the-shoulder perspective and requires you to collect and store items, solve puzzles, and fight monsters that aim to eat your fleshy parts. Combat involves defending yourself against said monsters using various weapons including guns, knives, grenades, and even rocket launchers! Updated graphics lend an appealing new gloss to gameplay and a new 4vs1 multiplayer mode allows you and your friends to hunt an iconic villain (i.e., one of your friends) from the series.

So give in to nostalgia and emotional masochism by revisiting Resident Evil 3, one of the most successful survival horror games ever made.

4. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Get ready for the high-flying adventure and non-stop action of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

Nathan Drake’s last ride signs us out of the series with a bang with exciting set-pieces, exhilarating gunplay, and clever dialogue. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a third-person action-adventure game that continues the story of Nathan Drake, explorer extraordinaire, as he once again searches for long-lost treasure. The game incorporates elements of stealth, puzzle-solving, hand-to-hand combat, and shooting that give you the high of being a daring adventurer à la Indiana Jones (without all the quicksand and snake ropes).

Traversal in the game involves free-climbing to hard-to-reach areas, Drake’s signature parkour and grappling hook style, and some underwater terrain that requires him to swim and dive to discover clues and key items. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End also includes an online multiplayer mode that has you go toe to toe with other players in five different game modes as you each compete to be the Drakiest Drake.

In light of the release of the Uncharted movie, there truly is no better time to sink your teeth into the series’ swan song.

Uncharted 4 Gameplay

3. Watch Dogs: Legion

Be everywhere and everyone in Watch Dogs: Legion, a unique stealth-action 3rd person experience.

Watch Dogs: Legion must be what it feels like to be a computer-savvy Varys. In Watch Dogs: Legion, you play as…..well literally anyone you want to. To be precise, you control not just one simple protagonist but rather an entire hacker organization, known as DedSec, as they aim to clear their names from tragic terrorist bombings they didn’t commit. “Somebody paid good money for this frame!” In addition, DedSec’s secondary mission is its ongoing campaign to liberate the citizens of London from the private military group, Albion, who have turned the city into a surveillance state in light of the bombings.

Use the high-tech skills of DedSec, to recruit new members with different skills (driving, shooting, or stealth), spy on and eliminate targets, and generally be a creep. The game uses a third-person perspective and gives you great freedom in terms of how you choose to complete missions and objectives. You can choose to employ stealth to avoid detection, hacking techniques that allow you to take control of various devices to incapacitate targets, or the traditional “guns-blazing” approach. What’s most noteworthy about Watch Dogs: Legion is that you’re able to recruit almost any NPC into DedSec, which gives you even more versatility in completing missions (and kinda makes you feel like a god).

2. Grand Theft Auto V

More guns, more car chases, more wacky stories, and even more fun ways to be menace to society in Grand Theft Auto V.

Grand Theft Auto V sees the return of the hit series as well as some of the things that made it famous - wanton violence and wacky stories. GTA V features a third-person perspective (with the option to change to a first-person view) and enough guns to overthrow a small country. Take control of your three criminal protagonists as you commit heists while fighting government officials and other criminal organizations.

GTA V lets you loose in the fictional world of Los Santos and while it does have a linear storyline, does not restrict you from exploring the map and doing side missions. Your characters can get around on foot, swim or commandeer vehicles to get around the sprawling Los Santos map. You can even fly planes and helicopters if that floats your boat (or….lifts your wings?). Combat, be it against criminals or Johnny Law, involves the use of guns, rockets launchers, and good old knuckle sandwiches as you fight to carve out your own place in the criminal underworld.

Some of the same gameplay mechanics from previous Grand Theft Auto games return as well with the famous “Wanted” meter making another appearance. Your characters’ appearances are also customizable allowing you to change haircuts, add tattoos, work out and get ripped, and buy new clothes at your discretion.

So dive into Grand Theft Auto V and live vicariously through a criminal psychopath, an aging bank robber, and a young gangster. What could go wrong?

1. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Raid, reave, and live free with entry number 1, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla combines the finesse of the iconic Assassins with the brutality of the war-loving Vikings in this latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed series. In this third-person, stealth-based action-adventure game, you play as Eivor Varinsdottir, Viking raider, as you put your Anglo-Saxon enemies to the sword. During this period of history, you and your raiders seek to expand Norse territory across Western Europe while also taking the Assassin’s oath and confronting the series’ antagonists, the Order of the Ancients (aka Templars).

Gameplay in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla centers around the usual stealth elements that allow you to stalk, incapacitate and/or kill targets discreetly. There is also a return to the recently introduced “social stealth” mechanic that allows you to hide in plain sight by blending into crowds and performing everyday activities to avoid arousing suspicion. You can also climb buildings and survey your area using a version of a series staple: the Eagle Vision mechanic.

When engaging in combat, your character can use almost any weapon at their disposal on the battlefield and can now even dual-wield any weapon type, allowing for maximum damage output as well as the ability to look twice as cool. A bevy of optional side missions is also available to complement traditional story missions that progress linearly. As you complete objectives and defeat enemies, you can gain skills and allocate those skills accordingly to complete later objectives and defeat more challenging enemies. Finally, as you grow your Viking army you can create settlements that offer gameplay benefits to your character during combat or exploration (no wonder colonization was such a thing!).

With so much to offer in terms of combat, world-building, exploration, and story depth, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a must-play for anyone looking for a recent third-person adventure game to get hooked on.

Up-and-comer John Boyega is reprising his role as Finn in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the upcoming sequel to 2015’s hit Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He’ll also be playing Jake Pentecost in the 2018 sequel film Pacific Rim: Uprising.Boyega was one of the two leads in The Force Awakens. He doesn’t appear much in the Last Jedi trailer we currently have, though. So it’s possible he may not have as big a role in this sequel. There’s only one brief shot of him in the trailer. And he’s not even awake during it. He’ll likely appear more in the final film of the trilogy. Although, he definitely may have a reduced role in the one coming out this December. We do see some more of him in some behind-the-scenes footage, though. So there’s that.   As for Pacific Rim: Uprising, well, Boyega wasn’t even in the first film. So you might assume he does not have a huge role in this one. Having said that, he’s actually the only character to appear in this first trailer, released by Legendary Pictures. He only appears briefly at the end. But hey, it’s just a teaser. There’s not too much else in the video. It’s only a little over a minute long. The rest of the teaser features a giant robot that resembles a Transformer robot and makes reference to something called the "Jaeger Uprising."The original Pacific Rim starred Emmy-nominee Idris Elba as Stacker Pentecost. Boyega is portraying the son of Elba's character in this sequel.Boyega is a British actor, who has had a good bit a success at the young age of 25. He had his first major role back in 2011 with the indie cult classic Attack the Block. He also had some recent success for his lead role in the critically acclaimed crime drama Detroit from Kathryn Bigelow, Oscar-winning director of The Hurt Locker.

Skeptics question the existence of the ghosts, hauntings and the paranormal. Perhaps science does have an explanation for everything, and maybe ‘it’s all in the mind’, but the numerous claims and sightings of the paranormal by people cannot be brushed aside, besides, religion says if there is God, then there must be evil. Stories of haunted houses, the sightings of ghosts, the stench of rotting meat, objects levitating, noises and screams and sometimes just that feeling of being watched over by someone or something are sure to send chills down the spines, even for the nonbelievers. Here is a look at the list of 13 most haunted houses in America.13. 14th West 10th street, NYC’s House of DeathThis classic brownstone was constructed in the 19th century and is believed to be haunted by the 22 people who have died in the house. Located in New York City, this famous home is supposedly haunted by the most famous ghost of them all, Mark Twain, who briefly resided there. In the 1930s, a mother and daughter claimed to have encountered the author sitting near a window where he stated, “My name is Clemens and I has a problem here I gotta settle.” He disappeared moments later. There have also been apparitions of a lady in white, a young child, and a gray cat. This brownstone has an eerie rep for another reason: It’s where Joel Steinberg beat his six-year-old daughter Lisa to death in a second-floor apartment in 1987—one of the most shocking murders in the city’s history.12. Kreischer MansionLocated at Staten Isand, the Kreischer mansion is a large Victorian style mansion built by Balthasar Kreischer, who ran a successful brick business. He built two mansions beside each other for his 2 sons. However things went bad for the family, Kreischer died a year after the mansions were complete, and this was followed by the brick factory burning to the ground. Bad luck followed again when one of his sons committed suicide in the mansion that stands today. In 1998, Isaac Yomtovian bought the mansion with plans to renovate it and sell, but in 2008 the caretaker Joe Black was believed to be a hit man and was convicted of murder when he killed a man, dismembered the body and burned the remain in the basement furnace. There have been reports of paranormal activity in the house and one claim of an eerie ghost like figure peering out through the windows has been reported on occasions.11. Franklin CastleConsidered by many to be one of the most haunted houses in Ohio, Franklin castle has its share of stories, being built in 1881, at one point it was considered to be a Nazi compound conducting secret spy meetings. But the house had its dubious distinction as cursed from the time it was built, when the owner Tiedemann’s mother and daughter died within weeks of each other. When Teidemann’s wife passed away, it was attributed to the curse of the castle. The Death of Teidemann in 1908 left the no one to inherit the castle and his personal wealth. There were reporting’s of the house being used by the German Socialist party for conducting their Nazi meetings, but the house was mostly abandoned until 1968. Come 1968, the Romano family moves in, and almost immediately after start experiencing strange events.  The children would speak to their “new friend”, even ask for extra cookies for their “friend”. They would hear organ music from various parts of the house. The presence of Mrs Teidemann could be felt in the house by Mrs Romano, until 1974, when they decided to move out of the castle house. Ownership of the house changed hands over many years and today the castle stands waiting for brave souls to take shelter.10. S.K Pierce MansionLocated in Gardner, Massachusetts, entering this haunted house requires one to sign a waiver, because it is claimed that the spirits in the mansion can impose their will on the guests. This mansion was once a master piece of its time and was owned by wealthy businessman Sylvester Pierce. This palatial mansion has a guest list that includes President Calvin Coolidge, PT Barnum and was a well-known meeting place for the Freemason Society. Pierce’s wife passed away weeks after moving into the mansion. In 1888, Pierce passed away, and the estate was left to his youngest son Edward who then converted the mansion into a boarding home, and the once sprawling mansion became a haven for gamblers, prostitutes and drunks. Many murders were claimed to have taken place in the mansion. There were clams of a case of spontaneous combustion, when a Finnish traveller burned to death in the master bedroom, as there was very little damage to the surrounding parts of the room and only restricted itself to the bed. There is also a claim of a prostitute being strangled in the famous red bedroom. Guests have experienced objects moving, doors banging, footsteps climbing up and down stairs, some have felt the chill of a hand trying to exert pressure on them and push them down stairs and out of the third floor window. There have been apparitions of a woman and a boy in white clothes. It is also said that Edward has been seen wandering about the mansion, and voices shouting his name can be heard by many on some nights. Paranormal experts claim that these are the highest forms of paranormal entities witnessed, with ability to move large objects and impose their will on the guests.                                                                                                           09. Robinson Rose HouseBuilt in 1853, by then Lawyer James Robinson who then moved up his career to become a judge, this two story home is located in San Diego, California. Story goes that Judge Robinson was legally married to Edith Isdell and they had 3 children, whom he abandoned and left in financial crisis. He ran away and married an 18 year old Sarah, and on his death, left his all his estate to her, even leaving out his first family. In 1857, Sarah sold the hose to Louis Rose and in 1874 a fire burned the roof and soon after the house fell into ruins. Other abodes did come up over the foundation of the ruins from Robinsons original home, however there is no explanation of who is presently haunting the house. Perhaps it is the spirits of the various others who built over the foundation or maybe James and Sarah have taken shelter in their old home, only time will tell. There have been reports of entities who like to play with electricity, because lights are seen to go on and off and then there are the occasions of the empty elevator moving up and down. Footsteps can be heard of a large man moving and up and down the stairs. A playful figure has manifested itself tugging on the hair of women. And when the place is quiet with little or no guests, there is the apparition of a man dressed in a shirt of old times, going about his work – is this perhaps the spirit of the former Judge himself?08. Lizzie Borden houseLocated in Fall River, Massachusetts is famous for the murders of Andrew Borden and Lizzie Borden, also known as the ‘Axe murders’.  Abby and Andrew Borden were murdered at that house one August morning. Both were bludgeoned with an axe and Lizzie was the main accused in the crime. She was tried and although acquitted of all charges of murder, she was guilty in the court of public opinion. Abby was murdered in the bedroom and Andrew in the parlor. In fact, these two rooms are the most sought after tourist attractions for people visiting the Borden home. People visiting have never faced any violent apparitions, however there have been descriptions of hot or cold air, stagnant air; there have been apparitions in the bedroom of the house were the murder happened, where the pillow bore the impression of someone sleeping on it. In fact paranormal activists have reported EVP questions being answered by what apparently seems like Andrew Borden. There are also the apparitions of a cat. The spirits at this home however seem to go about their work and do not seem to bother anyone around.07. The Whaley HouseLocated in San Diego, California, this place is considered to be one of the most haunted houses in America. Built on the site a graveyard by Thomas Whaley, the house was used for commercial purpose as a Theatre, Courthouse and general store. This house was very important for San Diego but it came with its tragedies, especially for the Whaley family. Thomas and Anna Whaley had six children, Thomas Jr died from Scarlet fever at just 18 months of age. That same year, their store burned to the ground. Devastated, they moved to San Francisco, however later fixed up the old house and moved back to San Diego. In 1885, Violet Whaley, daughter of Thomas and Anna committed suicide by shooting herself in the chest, due to a failed marriage. As time moved on, the members of the Whaley family living in the house passed on. Historically, the Whaley house is also known to be one of the most haunted houses in America. Staff and guests would catch a glimpse of members of the Whaley family. There have been sounds of a baby crying and sensation of deep sorrow, especially in the part of the house Violet died. There are reports of the floating spirit of Anna Whaley in the house, and an apparition of a woman in long flowing dress walking about the house. There is also the entity of a dog with long flapping ears running about between rooms, turns out the Whaley’s did own a dog, a terrier! The Whaley house has been declared an official Haunted house by the United States Commerce department.06. The Octagon HouseLocated in Washington DC and built by Colonel John Taylor, this house despite its name, is a three storied brick house that is actually a hexagon, with the interior containing a large spiral staircase that also acts as corridor leading to each room. The house was occupied by President Madison for 6 months after the White House was burnt down by the British. John Taylor and his wife Anne stayed in the house until their death. After Anne’s death the children rented out the house. The Octagon is considered to be one of the most haunted houses in DC, The ghosts that are purported to haunt the house are that of Dolly Madison and the 2 Taylor daughters. Dolly Madison’s ghost can be sensed by the smell of flowers and a pleasant musical hum that can be heard probably a remnant of on the many parties she hosted. There are also the apparitions of the Taylor Daughters, both of whom, on different occasions fell their death, down the stairs on the second and third floor of the house respectively. Apparitions of candles and shrieks can be heard on the staircase, and a rustling of the carpet at the spot here one of the daughters died have also been seen. There is also the legend of the ringing of the servant bells that could be heard. It is claimed that the sounds of the bells were the spirits of the dead slaves announcing their presence. There are also reports of lights flickering on and off, sound of feet rapping the floor and the spirit of man who was killed there visiting the room on the third floor, apart from the occasional shrieks that can be heard.05. The Pirate HouseLocated in Savannah and dating back to 1753, this is considered to be one of the city’s oldest structures. The original plan for the plot was to build a Botanical garden, however a tavern and inn were constructed to cater to the sailors an traders travelling from abroad. There was a tunnel in the basement that leads to the sea and it was believed that many sailors and seafaring men would get others drunk and kidnap them to sea through this tunnel. It is possible that many sailors would have died from alcohol intoxication at the inn and also from the violence that followed the many sailors visiting. The upstairs is considered to be the main area where many apparitions and manifestations have been witnessed. Sounds of laughter and the apparition of a bearded man have been witnessed on the second floor.  Coffee pots thrown across the room, and fleeting figures moving across the room. The first floor also has witnesses reporting the presence of a man, walking through the kitchen and rooms, chairs being rearranged and objects moving. There have been reports of people feeling cold and nauseous after visiting the basement area.  The house is now a restaurant and serves customers, but beware the spirits of the dead still linger.04. Villisca Ax Murder HouseThe Moore residence, located in the town of Villisca, Iowa, was occupied by the Josiah and Sarah Moore and their four children, who were an affluent and respected family in the community. On June 9th, Sarah invited Ina Mae (8) and Lena Gertrude Stillinger (12) over to spend the night after the Childrens day program that was being celebrated at the church that evening. After the program, the Moores and the Silinger sisters walked home. The following morning, Moore’s neighbors, Mary Peckham, noticed that the house was awfully quiet and no one seemed to be doing any chores. After multiple attempts at trying call wake the Moore family, Ross Moore, Josiah’s brother arrived and opened the door with his keys. On entering, he found the family including the Stilinger sisters bludgeoned to death by an axe. In 1994, Darwin and Martha Linn renovated the house to closely resemble the home as it were in before the murders and opened the house to visitors who can stay overnight. There have been numerous reports of children laughing, talking.  Audios have been recorded, of children’s voices and strange noises when no one else was present in the house. Objects have been seen to move and psychics have claimed to have communicated with the spirits that still linger about the house, perhaps still looking for justice.03. Ann Starrett MansionLocated in Port Townend, Washington, this sprawling mansion was built in 1899 by George Starrett as a gift to his wife Ann, whom he loved and adored very dearly. The interior décor of the house truly shows the love he had for his wife. The mansion was truly a masterpiece of its time. George and Ann had one child Edward and they hired a nanny who looked after him. The lived a happy life in the mansion and is now converted into a bed and breakfast. There are however numerous accounts of paranormal activity in the house, of both male and female entities, thought to be Ann and George. They say that even death could not separate them; such was the depth of their love. The entities and apparitions felt and experience d by many are mostly welcoming and warm. The female entity considered to be Ann can be seen floating between rooms or admitting the solar calendar. There is also a male entity but is very peaceful and mellow and considered mostly to be with entity of Ann. However, there has been one more female entity that is seen to interact with guests and staff and is the most common apparition experienced in the house. She can be seen flipping the bible, turning the light on and off and clank glasses to make her presence felt. A word of caution, the entity is known to get upset if any negative remarks are passed on the services of the house or if any criticism or remarks are passed on the family, such as slamming pictures or visitors have felt a bump on their head or a bang in the furniture.02. 208 Meriden Avenue “The Haunting in Connecticut” houseThe Snedeker family moved into the house as the rent was cheap and it was close to the hospital where their son would go for treatment (he was apparently being treated for cancer). The home was a former funeral home where the morticians committed necromancy and necrophilia. There were numerous occasions of hauntings and apparitions experienced by member of the Snedeker family. After moving in, Carmen Reed was warned by her son that they ought to move out because the house was evil, but reed paid no attention to the warning. Reed also speaks of a force experienced by those living at home, like being slapped, groped and threatened. Reed’s son started seeing a figure with long dark hair that would stand and watch over him, threaten him and scare him by calling out his name. Reed also claims that because of this and the voices her son could hear, the doctors diagnosed him with schizophrenia, but all that stopped when she sent him away to live with relatives. Reed also claims that her niece would be groped and she could once see a hand moving in her shirt and feeling her back. That was when it dawned upon Reed that ther was some supernatural force that was haunting their home. One researcher of paranormal activity claims that a spirit descended the stairs and said to him “Do you know what they did to us?”. Two priests called upon to perform an exorcism on the house were too scared and left, a third performed an exorcism that took three hours to rid the home of the spirits.01.   112 Ocean Avenue ”The Amityville Horror” homeRonald, Sr. and Louise DeFeo lived with their five children at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York. The family were wealthy and well-mannered, however their eldest son, Ron, known around town as a troublemaker. An admitted drug user, a petty criminal and a heavy drinker and was often in trouble with the law. On November 13, 1974, Ronald DeFeo, Jr. shot and killed six members of his family. In November of 1975, he convicted of Second-degree murder and was sentenced to six consecutive 25-year prison terms. In late December of 1975, just barely one year after the murders, George and Kathy Lutz bought the house for a sum of $80,000. Much of the DeFeo family's furniture was still in the house, because it was included for $400 as part of the deal. A friend of George insisted on having the house blessed, due to its recent history. Father Pecararo the vice-officials of the diocesan office performed the blessing. During the blessing, Father Pecararo mentioned that one particular room "bothered" him so he recommended that the family not use this particular room as a bedroom. The strange occurrences start soon after. Their dog Harry, tried to jump a fence and almost hug itself till it was rescued just in time.  Strong putrid odors emanated throughout the home, green slime oozed through the walls and the toilets turned black. Large swarms of houseflies continued to pile up in the sewing room. Household appliances turned themselves on and off randomly and doors would strangely slam shut. The entire family noticed severe mood swings and personality changes amongst themselves. George found himself continually awakening at 3:15 in the morning with an uncontrollable urge to check the boathouse. The Lutz' were persuaded to recite The Lord's Prayer while walking throughout the house, and one particular recitation, a mysterious voice shouted, "will you please stop!". Shadows moved around the house and they would see eyes peering in at them from other rooms. On one occasion George noticed the temperature fluctuating rapidly and when he decided to leave, while running down the stairs, there was apparition standing there, staring and pointing a finger at him. George and Kathy Lutz, with their three children and their dog Harry, left 112 Ocean Avenue, leaving all of their possessions behind. The list here provides us a glimpse of the supernatural and lets just hope it restricts itself to those places. Remember, in life, if one door opens and another one closes, call the priest because your house is probably haunted.

10. Walder and the FreysHad a taste of what the Freys been dishing out. Walder Frey was more of a pawn of the Lannisters, who really are the masterminds of the Red Wedding, but he still boasts of killing Rob and Catelyn Stark under his roof—which attracted the attention of newly trained assassin Arya Stark. Now Arya could have gone a simple route of just poisoning Walder and escaping, but she instead wanted to make it more personal. Instead of just killing him and being done with it she fed him his own children In a pie and slit open his throat—the same way her own mother was killed (minus the pies). She didn’t stop there. Disguising herself as Walder Frey, in one fell swoop, killed off every single (male) Frey with poisoned wine. Single-handedly causing the extinction of a House and bringing long awaited justice for the Starks and the North. The Red WeddingDeath of Walder FreyMassacre of the Freys9. Joffrey BaratheonGetting choked up at his own wedding. Continuing with the theme of poison, killer women, and pies, Joffrey Baratheon’s death was short but ever so satisfying to watch. After the bastard King irked us even further with his torment over everyone’s favorite Half-man, the audience received a small sign of hope when Joffrey started coughing. Then the series of coughs turned to chocking. Falling to the ground on his own wedding, eyes blood red, chucks of vomit and pie spewing from his mouth, and his skin turning purple. The viewer got a close-up of Joffrey painfully clinging onto his last moments, watching as the life leaves his eyes in a gruesome end. Though the downside to this is the fallout of his death; especially with him screwing over Tyrion by pointing at him as he dies (though he probably was pointing at the cup in his hand) and leaving him to be tried for murder. Bad for Tyrion but good for everyone to be rid of Joffrey. Joffrey's 9 douchiest momentsThe Purple Wedding
